WHO are we?
Tompeang Russey Khmer Association (TRK), is a non-governmental (NGO) and non-profit organization which aims to strengthen the community. TRK was established on 14 May 2008 by a group of volunteers which comprised Mr Meas Pothmonorith, Mr Loeurm Sowath, Mr Ken Bona, Ms Yous Saphea, Mr Cheok Samnang and Mr Sokh Thonny. TRK was registered as an official NGO with the Government of Cambodia on July 2012.
EDUCATION
We strongly believe that education is the tool to empowerment for everyone. Therefore at TRK, we provide free education opportunities for our young children living in villages of Svay Rieng and Battambang provinces.
SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
TRK aims to provide an establishment that focuses on building employment skills for underemployed groups in the village. The profit from the social enterprise goes to wages, training, and social betterment programs for the staff-beneficiaries.
COMMUNITY
TOURISM
We believe in building and strengthening relations with our counterparts across borders. TRK is embarking on an upcoming economic project in TRK to welcome foreigners to experience the authentic Cambodian Culture in Svay Rieng and Battambang provinces.
OUR
Non Formal Education
We conduct a total six classes in both provinces Battambang and Svay Rieng. At the end of 2018, we taught around 130 students.
PROJECTS
Electric Community
A project of combined efforts from 185 families in the villages who donated money to provide community electricity for 4 villages.
Community Library
Most of the books are donated by individuals but we are also cooperating with several other NGOs which whom we are exchanging books and ideas with.
